On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, the U.S. Golf Association (USGA) declared it will build “Golf House Pinehurst” in Pinehurst, NC which is well known by local and global golf enthusiasts.
The new project details include:
- Hosting four U.S. Open tournaments in 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047
- A new, state-of-the-art research and innovation facility
- Visitor center
- Satellite museum
- Offices in the Village of Pinehurst
- 50 full-time positions with an average annual salary of $80,000
