About Kimberly Brackett-Jones

Kimberly is an experienced attorney whose career path has included litigation as well as transactional matters, which provides a unique balance in her approach to working with clients.  In over two decades of practice she has worked in offices large and small, including stints in-house for a wireless communications company and with a large regional law firm before joining Anderson Jones.  She is detail-oriented and thorough but focused on inherently practical legal solutions for her clients.  Kimberly leads our estate planning and administration practice and represents businesses and individuals in a variety of transactional matters.  She can also be found assisting our litigation teams from time to time on particularly complex matters.

Clients appreciate her attention to detail, pragmatic nature and willingness to listen.  Whether a matter is routine or somewhat unusual, Kimberly is ready to evaluate the circumstances at hand and consider available options.  She has enough life experience to appreciate things that truly are simple, but is unintimidated by complexity.  Her favorite matters are those which afford the opportunity to collaborate with clients in the delivery of a result that achieves their goals.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism-Public Relations cum laude at the University of Oklahoma in 1996, and a Juris Doctor in 1998 from the University of Georgia School of Law.  She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and North Carolina, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

International travel is one of her great passions, and Kimberly is always ready for an adventure abroad.  Sometimes those travels intersect with life as a lawyer, including a summer studying abroad in Italy during law school and traveling to Lithuania and Latvia in 2012 as a member of the North Carolina Bar Association delegation.  When she’s not discovering somewhere new, Kimberly also enjoys spending down time with her husband and two sons, curling up with a good novel, cheering on the Sooners and the Dawgs, and finding a new project to attack.
