DOL Issues New Opinion Letter Concerning FMLA Leave for School IEP Meetings

The DOL recently issued a new opinion letter which states that a parent’s attendance at a school Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting to address the educational and special medical needs of a child qualifies for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Read the full opinion letter here.
