ANDERSON JONES, PLLC ATTORNEYS HEAR GOV. McCRORY DISCUSS $2 BILLION CONNECT NC BOND, TO BE VOTED ON MARCH 15, 2015

On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Attorneys Todd Jones and Lindsey Powell attended the Triangle Executive Luncheon for the Carolinas Associated General Contractors association. Speaking at the event, Governor Pat McCrory discussed the Connect NC Bond, a general obligation bond intended to upgrade and improve North Carolina’s infrastructure.

At $2 billion, the Connect NC Bond would cover projects in 76 counties across the state and include upgrades to the University of North Carolina system, community colleges, water/sewer and local parks, the National Guard and public safety, agriculture, parks, and the zoo. According to Governor McCrory, the North Central region, which includes the Counties of Wake, Orange, Durham, Johnston, Harnett, and Chatham, would receive $427.7 million in investments.
