Anderson Jones Spotlight: Kayla Russell

Anderson Jones, PLLC is proud to announce that Kayla Russell has joined the firm as a law clerk. Previously she served as an intern at the New Hanover County D.A.’s office, an Extern for Justice Newby at the North Carolina Supreme Court, a Summer Law Clerk at a civil litigation firm in Wilmington, NC, and an Extern for Judge Warren at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Kayla earned her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Non-Profit Studies from North Carolina State University. Currently she is studying at Campbell University to earn her law degree, and plans to graduate May 2019. Kayla is the current Bluebook Editor of Campbell Law Review, is a 2018-2019 Law School Ambassador for the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism, a Legal Research and Writing Scholar, is secretary of the Christian Legal Society, as well as a Research Assistant for Professor Essary.

After graduation, she plans to focus on Bankruptcy and Employment Law.
