Born and raised in South Carolina, Christine F. Mayhew received a B.A. in English from Clemson University, graduating after only three years. While at Clemson, she was an appointed judge on the University Student Court and was awarded the Faculty Scholarship Award for the highest academic achievement in her graduating class. She continued to law school at the University of South Carolina where she was an editor of the South Carolina Law Review and served on the school Honor Council, serving as the President during her last year. She graduated from law school in 2000 with honors.
Christine has over 9 years of legal experience representing businesses and individuals in a variety of commercial legal disputes. After graduation from law school, Christine worked for a firm in South Carolina practicing primarily in the areas of construction, real estate and land use litigation. She has since worked for two other firms in North Carolina where she gained additional litigation experience, including extensive experience in the areas of employment law and general commercial litigation in both state and federal court.
During 2008-2009, Christine and her family lived in Northern Europe while her husband conducted research. She is now back to practicing law actively and looks forward to helping clients with all types of construction and employments disputes. In her spare time, Christine continues to enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time being a mommy.
