Originally from Reidsville, North Carolina, Caroline Lindsey received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. As a UNC student, Ms. Lindsey wrote for UNC's student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, and for the Carolina Alumni Review. She received her law degree from the University of South Carolina and is licensed to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina.
During law school, Ms. Lindsey was a member of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal and worked on the Journal's Editorial Board. She spent her final semester studying in Melbourne, Australia and Christchurch, New Zealand through the Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Foreign Study Program. The program included coursework in comparative tort and contract law, as well as international criminal law and civil liberties.
Before joining Anderson Jones, PLLC, she worked for the South Carolina Department of Corrections in Columbia, South Carolina, where she specialized in defending the state of South Carolina against inmate claims, employee grievances and discrimination claims.
In her spare time, Ms. Lindsey enjoys volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem and working with children.
